Newbie setup question

I am trying to setup retrobat on a windows 10 64 bit machine with a 3.4 ghz Core i5 3570 processor. I added direct x and the vc++ to my pc but when I click on the retrobat executable file, nothing happens. Other files on the computer open without issue but this one doesnt seem to launch for some reason. . Any ideas on why this is happening? Thank you very much for your  help.

Try with emulationstation.exe directly.

I am using retrobat 4.0..0.0. I tried using emulation station.exe with the same result. I double click on the file and nothing happens. Any other recommendations.

you know we are on Retrobat 5.1.1 ? 4.0.0 is very old !! (2 years...)

Thank you for the information. I have one other question. Is there some way to update my old version to the new one without starting all over or do I have to start everything new. Thank you

Yes, retrobat is installed on my machine but when I double click on the app file it does not start retrobat. And it doesn't start from the emulation station file either. I didn't know if I can update the version I have or start over new. Thank you
