Actionmax Scrapping

Hello everyone!

I have a question if anyone can help i will appreciate it...

I set up Actionmax last night, it's working ok but when i try to scrape the Roms, in the menu it says "Systems selected 0" So i don't have the option to scrape them.

I had the same problem also with commodore 128.

Am i doing something wrong?

Hi, sorry not an answer but was curious how you got ActionMax to work as I just get an error "Emulator not found" but it is in the emulators folder.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I had looked at that before but just realized I didn't have the games in a subfolder called ActionMax, it works now . I thought when it said roms/actionmax/actionmax that was a typo .

Now need to know if ActionMax is a system we can scrape from within RetroBat?

Sorry, seems that we have missed this message.
What you can do, is editing the es-systems, and changing the platform to get results

Just to say, it didn't make any difference when scanning ActionMax as a system, but it worked when I scraped the ActionMax games individually.

@RapsterUK I am having the same problem that you had with the emulator showing as uninstalled. I have the folder system correct as I can see from.the wiki.

Is there anychmace you could share a pic of your file system so I can compare to see if I have gone wrong anywhere at all?

I have been on it quite awhile and can't get it to load.

Can you share a screenshot of your actionmax rom folder where we also see the path ?

Hi, this is what it currently is.. I have added/removed the supporting files numerous times to the actionmax subfolder. Taken the game files out of individual files... I've tried everything I an think of

I have it as it's shown on the wiki. Hard to show on here as using my phone (will take a screenshot on my PC later)

You are missing a lot of files here...

The second actionmax folder contains the support files, such as the fonts, .singe files etc, it also has a subfolder per game that contains the video and audio files for that game...

Hi, I had tried that. I have added again and still getting the "Emulator is Missing" Error. Emulator is installed.

Same as far as I can see in the folder.

You have another issue, just that the emulator is not installed.
This means that something blocks Retrobat from downloading the emulator !

Can you show us on what update channel you are in RetroBat ?
Your RetroBat version ?
And give us details about your antivirus & antimalware software ? Something is blocking the download of the emulator.

Hi - I had the same error when I put the game folders under a"ActionMax" folder in ROMS

Instead, I put them all in my existing Roms/Daphne folder and they work fine, i.e.:

bluethunder.daphne

I have no folder called ActionMax in there either

If errors, you need to make sure the emulator.singe file has been correctly amended

The top line should say:

dofile("singe/bluethunder/framework.singe")

Then for all the actions below you need to amend to :

singe/bluethunder/

For example:

sprLightOn = spriteLoad("singe/bluethunder/sprite_lighton.png")
sprLightOff = spriteLoad("singe/bluethunder/sprite_lightoff.png")
sprActionMax = spriteLoad("singe/bluethunder/sprite_actionmax.png")
sprCrosshair = spriteLoad("singe/bluethunder/sprite_crosshair.png")
sprBullet = spriteLoad("singe/bluethunder/sprite_bullet.png")
sprBoxArt = spriteLoad("singe/bluethunder/sprite_" .. string.lower(gameID) .. ".png")

sndActionMax = soundLoad("singe/bluethunder/sound_actionmax.wav")
sndSteadyAim = soundLoad("singe/bluethunder/sound_asteadyaimiscritical.wav")
sndGetReady = soundLoad("singe/bluethunder/sound_getreadyforaction.wav")
sndGunShot = soundLoad("singe/bluethunder/sound_gunshot.wav")
sndGoodHit = soundLoad("singe/bluethunder/sound_goodhit.wav")
sndBadHit = soundLoad("singe/bluethunder/sound_badhit.wav")
sndGameOver = soundLoad("singe/bluethunder/sound_gameover.wav")

Do this for each individual ActionMax game. Just select Edit / Replace in the doc and enter what you want to find and replace to
