Coleco ADAM
Hi all, I thought I'd ask here rather than in the support channel. Has anyone got Coleco ADAM running successfully in RetroBat? No matter which ROMset I use it just crashes the emulator, both Libretro-MAME and Standalone MAME.
Re: Coleco ADAM
hello
So, it's often mainly bios and romset version.

To be sure of the romset, you can refer to the Adam hashlist :
https://github.com/mamedev/mame/tree/master/hash/adam_cart.xml
https://github.com/mamedev/mame/tree/master/hash/adam_cass.xml
https://github.com/mamedev/mame/tree/master/hash/adam_flop.xml
Also, take care about the "name" of your installation. If the retrobat folder name is too long, it can lead to some error while injecting the command line

Hello,
In addition to the above, can you show a screenshot of your retrobat\roms\adam folder where we also see the full path ?
The games work by me just fine.

Re: Coleco ADAM
Thanks for all the info, I'm currently downloading the latest MAME sets (0.258 ROMs, CHDs, BIOS and Software Lists) the plan is then to update the MAME core to 0.258 and stick with that version. The ROMs I have for the MESS systems are ones I've collected over time, so they are probably various versions!
As RetroBat uses the Libretro:MAME core for about a dozen systems it'll be a pain to update the ROMs for them all each time a new version of MAME is released. What do others do? Just stick with a version or update all MAME and MESS systems each month when a new version of MAME is released?

I don't know about others, but I'm building a home arcade and once it's done I never plan on updating....anything....ever. And I must say...my arcade running 6.0 is awesome. If I ever DO update anything I'll probably just sell the arcade, buy new hardware and build another one.
