[RESOLVED] Is V-Sync option for Dolphin emulator working?

Hi,

I'm using the latest stable version of Retrobat and have Dolphin emulator updated to latest available release.

If I set V-Sync off in Retrobat, I don't think it is properly being set in Dolphin's configuration, since if I open Dolphin directly after playing a game, V-Sync is set to on.

Can anyone confirm?

You are right, it will be fixed with next version.

In the meantime you can open the file "es_features.cfg" located in "retrobat\emulationstation\.emulationstation" folder and change the lines:

        <choice name="NO" value="False"/>
      </feature>


These lines appear 3 times in the file under the Dolphin emulator section.

What you have to do is change the "False" value to "false"

I only found two lines (for Wii and Gamecube) with that option.
Anyway, unfortunately it didn't work. V-Sync is constantly on.
I find it strange that it is just a matter of using lower case. Usually these values are case insensitive. Otherwise, we would need also to change "True" to "true".

No they are not insensitive, in the emulator .ini file they are set as True and False.
Retrobat code says:
If value = "false", then set False, else set True

Seems like the issue is related to the value being moved from "VSync" to "dolphin_vsync". That means that even fixing that in es_features.cfg file is enough. There's also a code change in emulator launcher.

But not in your version, i just did this recently, your version still has VSync as value

I just tested with 5.3 stable, and doing the change I told you works fine
