Triforce issue
Hi everyone,
I'm Lorenzo and I'm writing from Italy.
I follow this forum for while and i managed to configure 90% of my retrobat.
Unfortunately I'm killing myself trying to fix Dolphin-Triforce.
On the internet I found a version configured with various exes, where however the games do not start automatically, the dolphin interface appears and you have to select the game in the background and furthermore F-Zero AX is missing, which however does not start. I also found a version of Dolphin-Triforce 5.0, also already with the various configurations for advanced graphics and controllers, where all the roms work perfectly, including the very nice Japanese baseball game, but how do you configure it with retrobat?
By default Retrobat installs 4.0.
I hope you can give me a hand.
Thank you very much

Re: Triforce issue
Hi,
With retrobat 6 we have move to the dolphin 5.0 version for triforce, which works great.

Glad it works, keep us posted if you find the right controller profiles ! So that we can automate them !

Re: Triforce issue
I found an already configured version, with a config for the controllers inside.
It's easy for the editor on the ROM, but I'm not sure which files they refer to, if you tell me the path, then how can I share it?

Re: Triforce issue
Not everyone has the same controller or the same number of controllers connected, so it would not be possible to just take a file...
To answer your question dolphin stores controls in the emulators\dolphin-triforce\user\config folder and the file is names gcpadnew.ini (not sûre about the last part of the folder path ...)

Now I have a question...
in this config I can't find the button to enter the menu where you can change the settings of the Virtual Striker game.
For extra time, penalties, golden goals etc...
Does anyone know how to do?

I understand.
I had that configuration too, a long time ago, but since I had Dolphin 5.0 already configured, I find myself with the files already arranged.
Not being able to change the keys from the main screen, you have to change something in some.ini file which probably lacks the way to enter the test mode.
If anyone knows how....

Quickly I can tell you that in the controller configuration you are forced to set triforce controller and not the standard ones where you can directly modify each button, otherwise the rom won't start.

I had already tried, but also by setting the controllers from standard mode, then to start the ROM you have to put the triforce controller back in the settings, so I think it will then take the commands directly from the.ini file
That needs to be changed, I've tried many ways, but I've never managed to bypass it in normal mode

I am not asking you to run a game, just switch temporarely to standard controller and enter the config, this will show the configuration based on the INI file.
A small tip: to configure controls for dolphin triforce:
1) Set controller to standard controller
2) Perform the mapping
3) save and set again to triforce AM board
No need to directly input in the .ini file

Why do you want to start the game ? I just want to check what buttons are assigned to test mode in the controller settings.

Re: Triforce issue
Ok, I'll try later, but maybe for some reason, the test button hasn't been configured, I tried with all the keys on the keyboard and various combos in the controller, but nothing happened....

Re: Triforce issue
Can you not simply show the screenshot of the controller configuration in the dolphin emulator ?
No need for testing, just showing what is currently set.

Re: Triforce issue
Resolved
As I was saying, the.ini files: GCPad1,GCKeyboard1,Freelook1 are loaded by overwriting the normal controls, which specifically for Virtua Striker in this configuration if not set like this the analog joystick works in reverse.
So I actually removed the files in question, started the game and with keyboard mode (Test entry D key) I was able to modify the game parameters.
Once completed I reinserted them and now everything is perfect.
