Disable mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone
Hi, there is no way I can disable the mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone. The option is enabled but the cursor is always visible. I tried removing the default frame so as to have the internal screen but the problem persists! If I start the emulator without using retrobat, it works normally and the cursor is no longer seen. I use a sinden lightgun and would like the cursor to disappear. How can I solve it? Thank you!

There is the option in Retrobat that ticks the box in the ps2 menu

I've looked at the specific settings of the PS2 emulator via retrobat at least 10 times and I can't find any option that disables the mouse pointer.tartifless wrote:There is the option in Retrobat that ticks the box in the ps2 menu

Re: Disable mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone
I have partially solved the problem: in practice it is the default frame that causes this problem, by deactivating it the game starts in full screen and the cursor disappears. I say partly because by using the sinden which obviously makes the white border appear in the game, the cursor reappears because in my opinion the game thinks it is not in the foreground. It's like when you press the windows key while in full screen and the taskbar and mouse appear! In short, it is a question of full screen since pcsx2 believes it is not full screen due both to the frame and the white border that applies the sinden!
The problem only occurs if I launch the pcsx2 game from retrobat. If I start the emulator directly from Windows I have no problems. So it's a strange retrobat problem!

Re: Disable mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone
It's possible that the hide mouse cursor option in pcsx2 only works in "true fullscreen".

Re: Disable mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone
Another solution to disabling the mouse cursor is to trick retrobat into thinking that the game does not belong to the lightgun category. Simply remove the game from the list in the gamesdb.xml file located in Retrobat/emulationstation/resources. This is as long as the frame is still disabled.
I don't know why retrobat forcibly applies the in-game cursor even if I disabled it from the pcsx2 settings, but I can say that it is 100% a retrobat bug, hoping it will be fixed in the next few updates!

there is a problem with the display of the superimposed frame on pcsx2 for the sinden or a bezel in 4/3 screen, the hide the mouse option is activated by retrobat.
To be continued if a solution is found.

We cannot fix if there is no issues.
We enable the tick to disable mouse cursor in pcsx2.

Re: Disable mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone
Excuse me, how can you say there isn't a problem if there actually is a problem??? I just said that on pcsx2 (direct boot from windows) the cursor does not appear. While the game started by retrobat brings up the cursor. The check to disable the full screen cursor is enabled, I removed the frame and tried directly with the mouse (without sinden and without border) and retrobat puts the cursor the same. How do you explain to me the fact that by removing the game from the games.db file the cursor magically disappears??? The problem exists and it is certainly not pcsx2 as I have done various tests!tartifless wrote:AngelDavil88 wrote:Another solution to disabling the mouse cursor is to trick retrobat into thinking that the game does not belong to the lightgun category. Re: Disable mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone
Playing without a frame and using only the mouse (no border and no sinden) the cursor remains visible even in full screen only on games in the lightgun category! On the other games no problem. Evidently Retrobat doesn't disable the cursor on lightgun games, that's the point!Aynshe wrote:there is a problem with the display of the superimposed frame on pcsx2 for the sinden or a bezel in 4/3 screen, the hide the mouse option is activated by retrobat.

You should try and compare config files in both cases.
To find the differences, else we won't know what to fix

Basically, if you don't provide any information, we can't fix anything and simply won't

Re: Disable mouse cursor on pcsx2 standalone
I have provided more than necessary and also given possible solution to fix the problem for a future version of retrobat. You should simply try. Then it's up to you to decide what to do! However, I will continue to understand how to fix this bug on my own! Good evening!
