I can't use keyboard or joystick in Retrobat's Spectrum emulator

Good Morning. I ask for your help because I don't know what to do. When I want to play ZX Spectrum games, neither keyboard nor joystick works for me. I have read on Youtube that it is possible to do it by opening Retroarch's quick menu during emulation. But I can not.
How can I use the keyboard and joystick in Spectrum games? Thank you very much in advance.

Then, select the number that correspond to "kempston joystick"

and does your pad is correctly setup on Retrobat ? Which kind of gamepad you use ?

I can't understand or find these options in retrobat.

I'm sorry but I can't find the options. I tried via retrobat (ver. 4.0.2) I tried to use Retroarch and with this core I don't see the option to use Keyboard on my pc. It is a shame. Is it possible to use the external Speculator emulator?

On Retroarch you need to open the quick menu and go to "inputs"
