Copied the whole folder over from one pc to another. The new one doesn’t work. Does Retrobat install any other files outside the Retrobat folder? Everything loads up ok but doesn’t matter what game I choose it tries to load them then just stops. Running 4.0.

So I did a fresh install using the 4.02 installer. Copied over the bios files and some 2600 games to test. No luck. Funnily enough the bundled Windows Game worked but nothing else.

Hello
Yes, Retrobat need that you install DirectX and VC++ redistributables.
Furthermore, if you're GPU isn't strong enough, you adapt some settings within BatGui.exe.

So I installed the runtimes. It still starts to load but then drops out.
I ran Batgui which needed an update which I did. The pc I have bee using it on was my Surface Pro 6. Ran great but this is a little mini pc. So I thought I would pick something basic like 2600 as not too demanding. It’s an intel ACPI x64 based pc, intel hd graphics 5500. Processor i7-5500U cpu @ 2.40GHz. 8gb ram.

But, have you try to change settings like it's explained in the FAQ :

No I haven’t. I looked at the FAQ generally. Most of it a bit above my knowledge. Just looked at the link you advised me. So clearly The default is no good. I’ll muck around with it but given the specs I’ve put here what would you recommend?

gl driver works but each game says missing retro achievements account info please fill in your account info in settings. I’ve looked in the in game settings but can’t find where to do that

Different ways to do...
- Using Batgui.exe and at the left bottom side, untick the box "show message" (the message will be still there, but you'll not see it anymore)
- by desactivate Retroachievement (from menu >> Game Settings >> Retroachievements settings >> uncheck
- by creating Retroachievement account (http://retroachievements.org/) then adding credentials on the same place that above
