Problem Scaping Windows games
Hi all,
Recently set up a new Retrobat system on my PC. The issue I'm running into is scraping Windows games. Yes, I read the FAQ, all shortcuts were pasted into the /windows folder. I've tried scraping with all the scrapers, Screenscraper, TheGamesDB, etc. I know that the scraper sees the games since the name of each games flashes for a few seconds as the scraper reads it...but no images are actually downloaded. I know I can manually edit the .xml and download images...but would prefer to avoid that.
Any suggestions?

Hello
Problem is that a lot of PC games aren't available on scrap site...
You can try by editing game name (to see if you got better results), or use external software (like ARRM)

I had the same problem, I solved it by using ARRM and scraping from the Launchbox database. Most PC games are present there. Definitely make sure to name your .lnk files EXACLTY like the game name in the Launchbox database.

You can also add medias directly in a "images" folder, using
xxx-thumb
xxx-image
xxx-marquee
and also xxx-video.mp4
With xxx as the same exact name that your game. The system will recognise medias directly, no need to edit the gamelist.
Edit : sorry, I just learned it last week
