Problem with windows games

Hello everyone, first of all I would like to thank you for the work you have done

I put my PC games in the ''windows'' rom folder

every time i start a game, retrobat goes back to the title select screen and doesn't seem to start the game

after a few seconds the game starts correctly but ''retro bat'' remains in the background and creates two problems

the first is that the pc game, once closed, does not bring the retrobat screen as the main one and I have to use the mouse

second thing , keeping retrobat in backroung the mapped keys do not work for example to exit from the game with hotkey or for the mouse function

can someone kindly help me?

What happens when you just put the shortcut to the game executable in the rom folder ?

Also, one of the most proven way, is to add theses games in STEAM as "non-steam games", and to run them through the steam method.

Yes i put the shortcut in the folder . But not work

i have problems with games like fortnite , genshin impact , call of duty modern warfare

I inserted the games on steam and created a shortcut on the desktop and copied it to the retrobat windows '' rom '' folder

once the game is started , retrobat goes back to the title selection , the game starts but remains in the background as if it is not compatible

I don't know if I explained myself or if I can post a video

You should use the .bat method, not the shortcut.

i follow the guide , when I close a game, it stays still on the 'ES' screen and does not go back to the game selection

No problem with Maldita or Need for speed Underground 2

Only with games like Fornite or Call of Duty or Warcraft III

To quit the games I press alt+f4 from the keyboard

You know Retrobat is a frontend, made to be used with a gamepad.
it's clearly mentioned in the prerequits.



Use a controller and tell us if you still have the same problem.

I use an xbox controller

only for these games to be able to exit I press alt f4 on the keyboard

because the configuration with padtokey is not recognized

only for these games

Hi all , problem solved , I modified the BAT file, inserting as Task files to close, the executable I saw in the taskmanager
