Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Problem: my BBC Micro ROMS won't show up in EmulationStation after I execute the "Update game list" command. It seems like ES does not scan the appropriate folder.
Details:
- My ROM collection is placed on a remote windows network drive. I am using symbolic links to point to the appropriate network destination.
- I put the ROMs in the bbcmicro folder.
- My BBC Micro ROMs have .zip extension.
- Apparently all other system's ROMs are updating correctly.
- There is no gamelist.xml file in the bbcmicro ROM folder.
What have I tried so far (without success):
- Doublechecked the symbolic link.
- Use unzipped ROMs with the *.ssd extension instead of zipped ones.
My system:
- OS: Windows 11
- Retrobat version: 5.2.0.stable
- All required BIOS files are present. Missing BIOS check ends up with "No missing BIOS files" result.
If I run Batgui\Gamelist Editor\BBC Micro, I get the following error:
- Code:

A fatal error occurred on the 'DocumentXML' element (of 'xmlDocument' type) and prevents from using it.

Hello
Have you try to "ungroup" MESS game collection ?
If not, they should still appear in Mess system.

Re: [RESOLVED] BBC Micro ROMs won't show up in EmulationStation's gamelist
OK, in the meantime I have figured out the solution.
Somehow, in the :\RETROBAT\emulationstation\.emulationstation\ folder a separate es_systems_bbcmicro.cfg file appeared. I have deleted it, and everything works fine.

So you better check the others es_systems customs that you got, a lot of them shouldn't be necessary within the V5 version of Retrobat.
