Beta auto update request

Can we have the launcher update to the latest beta version without the installation breaking? Is there any way to do that outside of having to run the standalone setup file?

I saw the updater.exe file in the retrobat program folder. Does this work to update BETA to the latest version?

Is there a way to install and update retroarch separately from the installation? I ask because I want parity between the version and cores when trying to netplay between retroarch standalone players.

Pleae see attached picture.  So does this work as intended?  So for Any additional BETA updates if I do it this way, once those scripts are in there will I be able to use the BETA updater through retrobats ES menu for all FUTURE BETA UPDATES?  Or will I have to download and copy those scripts every time there is a new BETA release?
