Mame Bios folder - Exclude bios from gamelist
Hi @ all...
is there a way to use the bios folder in retrobat for mame-bios files to avoid hiding every single bios file from gamelist.xml? Actually i can run mame roms only if the bios file is in the same dir as the rom.
One way would be to seperate it with a different extension like roms *.zip and bios *.ZIP and exclude the .ZIP from es_systems.cfg .
Maybe there is an other way.
thx
regards...

This isnt working even if i activate the linux subsystem an enable caseSensivity for the mame rom folder. ES seems not to distinguish between upper and lower case.

Hello,
Because it's running on Windows and Windows (MSDOS filesystem) is not case sensitive.

Yes, out of the box it isnt. But if you install the linux subsystem you can make selected folder case sensitive with fsutil.
The strange thing is, that if i remove .zip from es_systems.cfg and leave only .ZIP, new added roms with lower case extension are not recognised. If i rename the rom extension to .ZIP the rom appears in the gamelist. So for now its working.
One question about the gamelist.xml; i added manually the <hidden>true</hidden> tag. But ES ignored the manually added tag. I had to set the tag again in es menu.
Is there a special position for that tag in the gamelist.xml?
