[RESOLVED] Emulator Sega Model 2 & 3, unable to install
Hey, what's going on!?!
Retrobat stable v5.3 being used.
Was working on setting up Sega Model 2 & 3 games. We have the game ROMs loaded into Retrobat ROM folder 'model2' and 'model3'.
Loaded up Retrobat and found the game console. Games (both model 2 a& 3) are able to be scrapped for all artwork and game info. However, when trying to play them, the emulator will not download and install.
We get the "The Emulator 'xxxxxxx' is not installed. Install Now?. We click yes, and the download bar loads and appears to download the emulator. However, we get the next screen stating that "An Error Occurred. Cannot Open Archive. We click OK, and get the next error message "An Error occurred Emulator is missing'
We have even tried to go into the RetroBat emulator list and found the two emulators there and click on each one to get the same error messages.
Can we just download directly the two emulators and place those files within the 'emulator' folder under their respective folder: m2emulator and supermodel, and hope that Retrobat picks them up for the games to use?
What could be causing the emulators to not download/install within Retrobat itself.

Hello
Sorry, but I don't succeed to reproduce your problem on 5.3.
Are you sure you are on stable channel ? Not beta one ?

Thanks for the reply.
We are on the latest 5.3 stable release.
I just manually downloaded the emulator and copied the files to their respective folder and all are working fine.
Therefore, I'll deal with this issue after version six stable comes out if it still exist in the upgrade.

Re: [RESOLVED] Emulator Sega Model 2 & 3, unable to install
This is due to antivirus software preventing retrobat to download emulators.

Re: [RESOLVED] Emulator Sega Model 2 & 3, unable to install
Found the issue and fixed it by redownloading the 5.3 stable retrobat and coping over the '7z.exe' files from within the 'emulationstation' folder.
For some reason, my anti-virus suggested an updated version to the 7zip software and thus not realizing that it was updating the retrobat file. Thus, creating the error mentioned above.
Now that the version 6 is out and is in the stable version, time to update to the latest!
