Rpcs3
Good morning, I'm looking for some clarification regarding rpcs3. I recently migrated from batocera to retrobat, and am having trouble getting rpcs3 up and running. According to the wiki, disc games can be added and ran from the ps3 roms folder with a .ps3 extension. Mine won't run from retrobat, I just get a blank screen. I've seen several posts and videos saying I need an. M3u file to run disc based games, but that's not the way the wiki reads concerning disc based games. Is an m3u file necessary for disc based games? Does my .ps3 game file located in roms need to have the game ID in the file name? I have read the wiki, tutorials, and watched numerous videos, and feel as if there's conflicting information. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Re: Rpcs3
Hello, please add a screenshot of the roms\ps3 folder and of the content of the game folder.
Also join your emulatorlauncher.log file.
And finally try to run directly rpcs3.exe from the retrobat\emulators\rpcs folder and run the game from the emulator to see if it runs

Hi,
so yes, basically you put your games into the roms\ps3 folder of Retrobat. Then use a .m3u file to point to the EBOOT.BIN, like in the following example with Driver SF:
Driver - San Francisco.m3u contains:
c:\RetroBat\roms\ps3\Driver - San Francisco\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN
It's different with PSN games as they are installed, so you have to point your .m3u to that folder, like:
Alien Breed - Impact.m3u contains:
c:\RetroBat\emulators\rpcs3\dev_hdd0\game\NPUB30141\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN

Ok, I'll work on it. The wiki reads like you don't need an m3u file for disc games. The games themselves run fine thrive the emulator. Do disc games need to be in any other folder besides roms?

Re: Rpcs3
Disc games just go into \RetroBat\roms\ps3\
But as for as I know you need the .m3u file to run the EBOOT.BIN
No need to put the .ps3 extension in the end of the folder though.

Re: Rpcs3
For psn games I only have the pkg and rap file, no eboot.bin. I put the rap and pkg files in rpcs3 and they run. It seems like I'll just have to run straight from rpcs3, or scrap this idea and stick with batocera. I hate having to go back and forth between os, but batocera was definitely a much easier setup.

Re: Rpcs3
Let's clarify : for disc games, just drop your game folder in retrobat\roms\ps3 and put a .ps3 at the end of your game folder : NO NEED FOR A M3U file.
And for PSN games ==> just use the m3u method, exactly as described in the wiki.

That's the way i read it, and what i did. The games wouldn't run through retrobat though, just a blank screen after i selected the game. I will try again now that I've run games directly from rpcs3, which I hadn't done before.

Also please share your emulatorlauncher.log file (from retrobat\emulationstation folder).
One clue is that you are using the B:\ drive ==> many programs have issues with drive letters A and B : this will get you in trouble with many softwares as these letters are historically reserved for disk drives in windows.
Just be aware that windows will do many things differently for A and B drives (no file indexation, different caching method...)

Re: Rpcs3
Every game I've tried running is in this $locks folder. Not sure if that means anything...

Re: Rpcs3
Ok so this is not a Retrobat issue.
You should ensure you have up to date video card drivers.
