problem generic bezel vertic

I have a small problem, when I load a vertical game that has the generic retrobat bezel it shows me the horizontal generic bezel, how can I solve this problem?

What do you call "generic RetroBat bezels" ?
What version of RetroBat ?
Example of game ?

retrobat 6.3.1 (latest version) the bezel project, for example the "fantasia" game shows the horizontal generic bezel.

Idon't know fantasia game, is this a vertical game ? What console ?

What do you call "standard horizontal bezel" ?

I use the bezel project. It loads the bezel which looks like an arcade cabinet, but I don't know the name. It's the generic horizontal bezel that loads correctly when the horizontal game doesn't have a bezel

This is because this game has no bezel in the bezel project, so it falls back to the standard one

Or the name of the bezel doesn't match with the ROM name (which is strange for Mame)

Fantasia is correctly identified as vertical in arcaderoms...

So if it falls back to "default" or "default_unglazed", and because it's vertical, it should fall back to arcade vertical...

Can you screenshot the bezel you select in retrobat and the bezel you get in game?

And also share your retroarch.cfg file (from emulators\retroarch folder).

When we test this game we have vertical bezel appearing,so something must be missing with your system.

Your game is in roms\mame ?

Can you run it with libretro-mame and senf us the retroarch.cfg after quitting retroarch ?

how do you share the retroarch.cfg? I did some tests, if I use mame core retroarch, it always loads the horizontal bezel but the game has the correct proportions, if I use mame standard it loads the horizontal bezel and the game is enlarged (wrong proportions). is it possible that by changing the mame executable with mine (0.258) some settings have been overwritten?

Just open the file and find the overlay line that contains the path to the bezel, and show it here.

Also can you share the last part of the emulatorlauncher.log file (located in retrobat\emulationstation) to see the command line sent to Mame ?
If the aspect changes it might mean that you have forced a parameter to not keep the aspect ratio...

thank you all for your patience. i realize i insist too much and i thank you. i only have one file retro emoulauterlauncher.log.old and it is really long and i dont know what to copy. how can i share it? can i send it privately to someone? how can i do it? thanks again

Not the .old file, we need the actual emulatorlauncher.log , and just copy paste here the last lines below the dotted line that concern the last run of a game (after having run a game the fantasy game with mame).

And don't forget the retroarch.cfg line after having run the same game with lr-mame

I did a new installation on the usual folder and it seems to have solved it even if I have another strange problem, in fact I will open a new post. thanks to everyone
