Anyway to stop full screen black flickering upon starting full screen retrobat? Doesn't seem to happen when in windowed mode

Thank you for any guidance you all can give on this. I feel like I have tried many things and have not been able to get this to stop. I don't know if it matters but I also turned off the video splash screen to make sure that wasn't the issue. In batgui I have the "full screen" option checked when this is happening

intel i7-10750h processor
32 gb ram
windows 10
