Problem with 5 player configuration settings + xbox360 guns and pads
Good morning,
i have a 5 joystik dragonrise bartop setup, 2 aimtrack guns, 1 xbox360 pad a trackball and 1 wii mote pad with nunchaku and i have the following problem:
by retroarch ids are assigned based on the usb ports of my pc and despite me setting them and saving the current setting they always return as before.
So I moved the pads according to the usb ports so that I have player 1 in its place and 2 in its etc ...
the trackball and the wii mote are seen as a mouse so tt ok.
the aimtracks are configurable as id by their software and again no problem.
the problem arises when I turn on the xbox 360 wireless pad that always goes and cmq as the first id messing up all my configuration.
Is there a way to save ids based on players?
Can you help me configure my system permanently without having to tinker with the button configurator every time?

From what I understand and following FAQ n ° 9 I have to enter developer mode, deactivate the auto-configuration of the pads, then go to retroarch and reconfigure them all at will, both for the position of the players and the keys, save and the game is done?
If I later add another pad, is it added later or do I have to reset everything?
.....I will switch to 2 xbox gamepads with wire, too frustrating to have to switch on and off the wireless control, it messes everything up ...

If you have disabled the auto config, try to past (into Retroarch) the input driver to X-input.

Done but it doesn't work, the xbox 360 pad is wireless and turns on and off during games. It is as if a USB is disconnected and all the controls are repositioned.
Unfortunately it does not take as a fixed position that of the wireless receiver ...

It's enervating.
Don't know if it's retrobat's or emulatorlauncher's fault, but the changes made in retroarch are continuously overriding.

And yes this is the normal functioning of Retrobat, the settings are made in Retrobat, not in Retroarch.

Whenever I change retroarch.cfg or trough the RetroArch GUI, and change it to Xinput, it autodetects and autoconfigures my CPO.
However, every time I launch a game through retrobat, even with autoconfig disabled, the settings reverts to SDL2 and screws my settings.
If I set retroarch.cfg as "read only" to avoing overwrittings the emulator doesn't launch.
I think that emulatorlauncher.exe and the %CONTROLLERSCONFIG% string in es_systems.cfg has something to do, but there's less than none documentation or configuration options.
But still, I'd really like to be able to use the autoconfiguration option in Retrobat for emulators outside Retroarch, like Model3 or Naomi.
I'd be great if Retrobat allowed to set the default input controller (i.e. xinput, dinput, etc) the same way it allows DefaultAudioDriver or DefaultVideoDriver in retrobat.ini, and then spreaded that settings to Retroarch.
There's also a problem with controller indices, swapping player 1 and 2 inputs, but that's another story and I blame Windows too.
