[RESOLVED] Two noob questions

Hi Retrobat Forum!

I have two noobs questions and yes, I consulted the FAQ before but didn't find answers.  

1. Is there a way to change the keyboard key assignments for Retrobat, both for the Retrobat Menus as well as for individual games?
2. I tried to connect a PS3 Dualshock controller. After plugging it in the USB and opening the Controller settings --> Controller Mapping menu, Retrobat recognizes and prompts me to hit any button on the controller to configure it. However, none of the buttons are recognized. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Do I need to install the ScpToolkit on my PC first for the controller to be recognized?

Hi,

Regarding your second point, scptoolkit is not recommended, look at the rpcs3 wiki, there is a link to an official driver released by sony.

thanks for your quick help! I followed the steps on the link and got the Nefarius' DsHidMini driver installed. Retrobat now recognizes two PS3 Controllers (although only one is connected...), and when I configure the buttons and remove the USB cable for the Bluetooth, it immediately asks me to assign buttons again. So I assign buttons, save, push a button on the controller, and it immediately asks me for button assignments again... Any further ideas?

Yes, try the sdl fix described in the wiki :

And it is completely normal that it asks you to reconfigure when switching from usb to bt

thank you so much, you are amazing! Replacing the SDL2.dll with the newer version solved the problem, only one controller showing know and it keeps the key configuration.
