I have only recently discovered retrogaming and have been using Batocera and I am generally pleased with how it runs, however with it being Linux it doesn't really take full advantage of my graphics card nor the Game modes on my TV.
I found out about Retrobat only this morning and was excited to see that, in essence, it looks and operates the same way but in the Windows environment, so all my up to date drivers and functions are hopefully utilised.
But I have noticed two things.
1. Sometimes when I start Retrobat there is a vertical white line (one pixel width) top to bottom of the right hand side of the TV screen. This disappears when a game is running but comes back when I close the game. However, it's not there every time I start up Rb.
2. Whenever I close a game or quit Retroarch, the system flashes up the Windows home screen then goes back to Rb.

Are both of these normal occurences?
The 2nd one is a bit annoying because it triggers my TV to briefly change its mode.

Hello,

You are the first to report such issues.
You need to provide more information, such as:
- material configuration
- windows version
- retrobat version
- screenshots or videos of the issue...

Thank you.
Minisforum UM350/Windows 11 Pro/Retrobat 5.2.
1st issue it turns out, is part of the pixel protection system to prevent burn-in/image retention on my LG oled TV. I don't want to turn off this protection but have tinkered with the overscan and 4-way zoom options and I think that I have found a setup that I can live with. (as per images of original issue).
2nd (as per video) I cannot figure out what settings I need to change in Retrobat to stop this happening.

I cannot answer that at the moment, I am in the process of completely cleaning and restoring my pc and drives to factory settings. I have been installing various programmes and Linux versions etc etc and decided it was time for a fresh start.
I'll report back when it's done.
