Lag this normal in Retrobat?

Hi, I just migrated my old Hyperspin system to Retrobat and I'm very happy with it, it's beautiful, fantastic and nostalgic themes, but I have a question about some supposed "lags" that happen when browsing the covers of the games, it's normal ? I even lowered the quality of the images to see if that was the problem but no, I realize that sometimes there are a kind of "small stutters" from one image to another, is this a problem in Retrobat or Emulestation? "It has been optimized for the future version. In the meantime, downscale the images and/or recompress. Anyway, if your harddrive access times are slow, or if the image are very large & compressed, it will take time to load them..."
