Show all games without having them
Hello, it may seem like a strange question, but I wanted to know if it is possible to show in each list of each system all the games of all the systems supported by retrobat without having the files in each folder. That is, to make retrobat believe that all the games of all the systems are in their corresponding folder and to show them.

Hi,
And for what purpose would you like that? I don't understand, so f.ex. for 1 system there would be 1.000 "fake" games listed but you only own 100, so how would you know which ones are available and which ones not?
Plus don't you think about all the work that would take? Just try one system f.ex., like C64, and list me all the games that exist for it. If you can do that, you're my hero.

The purpose is only to show the games in a more "beautiful" way (with covers, logos, videos, etc.) than a simple list, even if they are not available to play afterwards. It doesn't have to be all the games on all the systems, I just want to know if it's possible and how?

Again, do you know how much work that would involve? Basically you're asking other people to add all the metadata ready for you so that you won't have to do it yourself, and that's asking a LOT. At least it sounds like that to me.david86bcn wrote:The purpose is only to show the games in a more "beautiful" way (with covers, logos, videos, etc.) than a simple list
You should scrape your metadata yourself, which is not that big of a process, just use the inbuilt scrape feature or like me, I'm using Skraper and run it per system to MY liking.

I am not asking anyone to do anything. I want to do it myself, but I need to know how to make retrobat believe that I have games that I don't really have, so that they appear in my game lists.

Hello
As I say on FB, the only way is to create a fake file name as the game.
It could be a .txt file, where you rename the extension with a one accepted by the concerned system.

I had already thought about it, but how could I create fake game files for example for 1000 snes games with their real names in an automated way?
Isn't there a way to add the games to a game list and have it scrape them?

Hello,
You would need to get the games from a database and create a script to generate the files based on this database.

Can only the names of the games be exported from the dat to a txt, doc or xls?
