Only gamepad detected as Gamepad 2

I've been using the latest version of RetroBat without any issue until today.

Everything was working fine until yesterday, but today my gamepad wasn't recognised and when I configured it again the frontend would see it as Gamepad 2.

As a result, most of the preset key bindings won't work ingame. I use an original Microsoft Xbox 360 cabled controller.

Here's what I initially did to try and solve the issue, with no result:

Plugged and unplugged the gamepad

Reset/shut down my pc several times

Started RetroBat with and without the gamepad plugged in.

Set my Gamepad configured as Gamepad 2 as a P1 controller under Controller Settings in the ES menu

Modified es_input.cfg and es_last_input.cfg deleting everything related to gamepad/joystick configuration, leaving only keyboard input configuration

Disabled Game Mode under Windows Gaming settings

And, last but not least, ran a CLEAN installation of RetroBat 5.3 in a different folder...

And the issue is still there.

At this point I really don't know what else I could do.

Could it be possible that you got something else that appear as number 1 ? Material or software ?

Have you try to reset with batgui ?

And finally, when you set preset bind, you mean hot key ? Which key have you set for hotkey?

I reset the sdl config using BatGui and it solved the issue of the wrong mapping.

I can play single player as player 2 in Mame, basically, but at least the buttons would now match what I configured at startup.

Can you share the file named emulatorlauncher.log located in retrobat\emulationstation folder ?

I could, but I've reinstalled RetroBat once again since resolving the issue. I don't think it would be of much use.
