[RESOLVED] V6 Retrobat won't start (brand new install)

Hello there,
First time post so nice to meet you all :-)
I've tried forum search and google but not getting anywhere - any help would be much appreciated.

I have been using Batocera on a Lenovo Thinkcenter M73 from an internal SSD - it ran fine and was happy emulating upto Xbox games without any fuss.  

I have replaced the SSD and have a licenced Windows 10 Pro installation running instead, and have downloaded and installed Retrobat V6.  I've not made any changes to the installation folders.

When started, retrobat.exe, the screen flashes black, Task Manager registers retrobat as running, then it disappears.

I've tried the following:

Reinstallation
Updating all drivers (monitor, sound, graphics etc)
Windows updates are all up-to-date
Checking the PC meets retrobat criteria for directx and Visual CC+ (it does)

Some PCs stats:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570T CPU @ 2.90GHz   2.90 GHz
8.00 GB
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Windows 10 Pro (version 22H2)
DirectX 12




Not sure what else to try - don't want to go back to batocera as I need to use Windows now.

Where is retrobat installed ? (folder)
Also what happens when you launch "emulationstation.exe" located in retrobat\emulationstation ?

When I launch emulationstation.exe the same thing happens: screen flashes black, then nothing.

What is your antivirus software ? It might have deleted some necessary files...

I have no antivirus installed. Only the standard Windows functions.

Is there a retrobat.ini file close to the retrobat executable ?

Yes it's the CPU - I don't have a seperate GPU

Hi - It should be - I only downloaded the installer for V6.

I can try. What info do you need please? I've posted some images above of my set up - but I'm at the limit on my understanding now :-)

So I think I've fixed it :-)

I found an Intel driver (HD Graphics 4600) on the Lenovo site and installed it.

I can now open retrobat!
