[RESOLVED] retrobat does not start

First of all, I apologize for the bad English, as I'm using translator.

I have an old computer at home so I decided to format it and install Retrobat on it, I installed DirectX and all vc++ so that when installing Retrobat it opens and closes automatically.
I searched a little in the forum and found a post saying that I could change the vulkan api to dx11 by retrobat.ini but I didn't find anything related in the ini file and in the GUI program.  

My setup is:
CPU: Pentium E5200
MOBO: vs g31t-m
4 Gb RAM
Windows 10

With Retrobat V5 (the last version that you should try) graphic drivers aren't in the ini anymore.

PS : for VC++, don't forget to install even the older 2010 version.

But in your case, without any GPU... don't expect so much...

I am having the same issue as OP. Fresh install of V5. This is on a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro w/ a Ryzen 3XXX and an NVIDIA 10 series dedicated GPU. All drivers have been updated, all of the dependencies installed. The splash image will sometimes pop up and the process will stay running (as noted in task manager) but nothing displays on the screen. batgui displays fine. I've tried multiple resolutions and full screen/no full screen etc.

I appreciate any help.

Do you have multiple screens ?

I do not have multiple monitors. It is plugged in via HDMI. I also have DVI and Displayport that I could try. Other applications/3d games are working fine over this output.

And your version of windows is the official, not a light or stripped down version ?

Did you try to update the sdl file in the retrobat\emulationstation with latest 2.26.2 version ? sdl2.dll

You can download the 2.26.2 (x86) version from their website and try to see if that solves it.

My mistake. I do have the N version. Know which (other) dependencies I might be missing that are required?

Fixed! I updated my Bios, restarted, and it's suddenly working. Not sure what happened. Thank you for your time!!!
