Update error

Trying to update to v 6 and get invalid licence when trying the update?

Any ideas?

Going from 5.3 to 6
The update downloads and starts after a couple of seconds.

Update failed invalid licence file.

Have tried multiple times not sure a screen shot will help as that's all it says. Please let me know what else you need me to say or advise and I'll share as needed

This can mean 2 things:
- either your retrobat version is not 5.3 or 6 beta 3
- either you RetroBat is not legit

It updated from 5.1 to 5.3 with no issues or whatever the previous release was. Can I manually install over the top.

As for not legit. It was built fully by myself and not a bought version

We have a lot of updating problems with custom versions downloaded from the internet.

As we will not succeed to understand what could happen on your case without more informations, you better perform a new installation of the V6, then copy bios, roms and saves in there (themes and themes configuration also if you have done some changes)
