PCSX2 Suddenly Slow

I was playing burnout takedown on PS2 last night running on 720p and 1080p testing which runs better, both were close. It was running like a dream so spent a good couple hours playing. I shut down and started up this evening and it starts up every PS2 game in slow motion like it's struggling. I have done a restart and even return settings back to basic and still it does the same. The last thing I tried was to delete the emulator folder completely and redownload. Still no change. What am I missing? It's been fine all this time.
