Help Needed: Enormous Bezels Protruding from the Screen in RetroBat

Hello, how are you! I have this problem with the bezels. As you can see in the image, their size is enormous and they protrude from the screen. I’ve tried to fix it on my own, but it seems impossible from the RetroBat menu. I’m not sure if it’s not possible from the menu or if I just can’t find the solution.

I love Duimon’s mega bezels, but I miss the bezels with game covers. Since my daughter also plays with me, I use the tattoos so she can see the buttons.

Can you told us the actual settings you define (from RetroBat menu) ?

Because it looks like you got different decorations one above the others.

Hello, thank you for responding. I hope this screenshot is helpful. I’ve really left the other settings at default so they don’t interfere and to try to get everything back in place. Therefore, I believe this is the configuration I’ve made beyond the default settings.

As you rightly mention, I have several overlays because I really like the look of MegaBezel Advanced, and on the other hand, I really like bezels with game images. Additionally, I think it's a good idea to use tattoos so my young daughter doesn’t get confused with the buttons.

No, I’m afraid I haven’t configured anything related to the Windows scaling.

Something interesting is that it only happens with the Nintendo and GameCube systems; the rest of the systems display correctly.

Until today, I’ve modified and tested many configurations to find a Retrobat setup that I like, and I’m afraid something might have been incorrectly recorded in the registry and broken. For this reason, I tried to set all the configuration to auto and start over.

Today, I installed a fresh copy of Retrobat and started a new installation to see if it was an issue with my old and used, though updated, version. However, to my surprise, the screen still appears oversized for Nintendo in the new version.

OK.
There is different things that aren't OK. Some you have to know and you can solve, some others you can.

Firstly, it seems that tatoos aren't compatible with bezel project, as bezel project decorations doesn't get maybe the expected DPI.
Furthermore, you can't combined megabezel with bezel project. What you can try is usind Duimon bezel project (available from the downloader). But not sure that tattoo will appear.

Duimon bezel project (as mega bezel) must be set up with particular settings. See https://wiki.retrobat.org/advanced-features/decorations-and-bezels#mega-bezels

I just checked, and you’re right. After removing the tattoos, the bezel now displays correctly!

I had already read the wiki several times and was aware of a few things.

You can have different choice :

- resize the bezel to 96dpi (for a reason that we don't succeed yet to solve, it only match for this resolution)




- if tatoos aren't mandatory, try the Duimon bezel project. you will get the advantages of mega bezel, with the bezel project overlay

I think there are also some shaders (mega-bezel type) that are only shaders without bezels, so you might be able to combine these with bezels and tattoos ...

Yes, there are indeed some quite interesting ones, like the KOKO AIO bezels, which are almost as good as the megabezels. However, in my opinion, MegaBezel Advanced is great, but I will settle for using another one to display the image correctly
