B button opens menu (exits game)
Hello,
I have a problem with Retrobat. Everything went fine: installed roms, scraped, controller binding etc.
When I launch any game, everything is fine. But if I press “B” button on my wireless xbox controller it exits the game into the main menu - game closes.
How can I fix it?

What did you choose for the hotkey?

Like is explained on the Retrobat notice, you need to use "select" button for hotkey.
Steam is runing when you use Retrobat ? (try with Steam totaly disabled)
and share your es_input.cfg file please.

Re: B button opens menu (exits game)
Hi!
Upon some extra research I found the solution. The problem was incorrect bindings in the Retroarch settings itself. Thank you for FAQ and your help.
For anyone having the same problem:
- I left most of the stuff on AUTO in the Retrobat settings.
- I disabled Autoconfigure controllers in Game Settings in Retrobat.
- Bind all buttons in Retrobat menu (Main Menu - Controller settings - Controller mapping). Use Select as the Hotkey button.
- Go into Retrobat (where you choose emulators) and launch RetroArch.
- Upon first launch I had horrible resolution so you can change it in Settings - Video menu.
- To set hotkeys go to Settings - Input - Hotkeys then check and play test key bindings there.
Feel free to ask any particular settings
Moderation: Don't do this

Re: B button opens menu (exits game)
It's a bit strange to disable controller autoconfiguration instead of letting Retrobat autoconfigure, because you'll have wrong mapping for some consoles as retroarch is used for many systems.
Especially with xbox controllers where it all works from scratch.
The issue you are encountering is usually due to steam running in the background or wong inputdriver chosen in Retrobat or wrong mapping in Retrobat.
