If no one answers you, there is no solution. The problem surely comes from the hardware which is not compatible.

It dosn't seem to be a hardware issue. All emulatiors work perfectly good with sound, but not when they run from within RetroBat.
So.. it seems to be a software issue with RetroBat.
If it were a hardware issue, it wouln't work at all.

No, it's not a retrobat problem.
Retrobat only launch games through Retroarch and standalone emulators. It does not control the sound or display etc.. in any way.
You say it works outside Retrobat, you're probably only talking about standalone emulators and not retroarch.

The problem comes from Retroarch which does not recognize your hardware.

I remind you that we do not develop emulators.

No, it doens't seems to be the case.
I installed and executed retroArch and games run ok, with sound and no issues.
But when I lunch any game for any emulator from within RetroBat, I have no sound.
So that's why I think the issue is in RetroBat and not in RetroArch or standalone emulators, which works ok with sound and no hardware issues.

It seems the issue is on how RetroBat calls/uses RetroArch to execute the emulator/game.

Game in RetroArch works ok.
Same game, starting from RetroBat -> no sound

that's what I'm saying, you say you installed retroarch, for testing, and so that means you're not using the retroarch that is used in RETROBAT. So you are not using the same version and the same settings. So I repeat, your problem comes from Retroarch and not from Retrobat.

Ok, from what you said, I tryed this:

I went to the RetroBat installation folder.
Then under Emulators -> retroarch folder
Then executed retroarch.exe
I loaded a game (a SNES game) and it worked ok with sound.

Then, I execute RetroBat, went to same game, execute... no sound.

So... I am using the same retroArch instalation RetroBat is using... still... when lunching any game from within RetroBat, I got not sound, even though I'm using the same retroarch instalation
that comes when installing RetroBat.

So... I insist... the issue seems to be in the way RetroBat calls/executes retroArch.

So if it works it's because you didn't follow the explanations of the FAQ.

Change the audio driver.

I repeat once again, Retrobat only launches the games.

I already changed/tested all audio drivers. Also, I'm saying that retroArch works by itself with no sound/hardware issue.
Cleary the issue is within RetroBat. Or is it a 100% bugs/issue free sowftare?

Or maybe you don't want to help or don't know how and it easy to send users to the FAQ.
Not helpfull at all.

Thanks anyway. Thumb up

I don't think you understood what I've been doing for several messages: I'm trying to help you.

Maybe the language barrier makes you think I take you for a fool. It's not, I don't speak English, google translate is my friend and I still try to help everyone every days.

I've been supporting Retrobat for years, I know the bugs.

Too bad if you take it badly, manage on your own.

Have a good day.

Issue fixed !

Creating a Virtual Audio devide fixed the issue when using RetroBat.
I still think it not needed for "plain" retroarch ussage because it just worked.
But if the intention is to use RetroBat, that Virtual Audio Device seems to be needed.

Anyway, now sound it's working as intented.

Thanks for the help

As you did in the other post, here are the steps to fix the issue:

For anyone who is running retrobat, on a 7 generation intel processor or higher with intel integrated graphics and is experiencing sound failure when running retroarch here is the solution:

1) Install VB-CABLE Virtual Audio Device, it is a free program.
https://vb-audio.com/Cable/

2) Select cable input as default playback device and cable output as default recording. On the cable output, select the properties and check "listen to this devide trough" and select your Intel HDMI audio device. That's it. All your game will play and sound when in full screen.

I have not noticed it adding lag. It has not crashed on me again at any time. I use Vulkan+xaudio. But it has worked for me with every combination I have tried.

You have all the more detailed information in:
