[RESOLVED] roms on external disk usb
Hello how i can read roms from external usb disk folder?

You can just create a symbolic link using the command mklink in command line. How to do this is explained here https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/131182-create-soft-hard-symbolic-links-windows.html (Option 4).
You would have to assign your external USB a permanent assigned drive letter using Disk Management and put your roms folder in it. Make sure that your original roms folder is deleted or re-named. Say your USB Drive was X:, the command would be something like mklink /j "C:\RetroBat" "X:\roms" then instead of a Roms folder in your RetroBat directory you would have a link to the folder on your USB drive. The link will appear in your directory structure as a folder with an arrow on it which you can open and see the contents of. I think in command line you could go into the drive where you have retrobat (if the drive letter was D type D:) use the cd command in command line so you are working in the Retrobat directory (cd RetroBat) and then the command would simply be mklink /j "X:\roms" . I've only used this to create links to folders on the same drive but it should work.
