I deleted Vita3k from RetroBat menu by mistake
Hi guys,
I made a little mistake, I wanted to uninstall Vita3k but I long pressed the button and chose delete, now it's completely gone from the menu.
Is there a way to get it back inside the RetroBat menu?
Thanks.

Hey, create a new txt file, write
Rename the file to vita3k and extension from .txt to .menu:
Put the file in the folder \RetroBat\system\es_menu
EDIT.: Or open a vita game, will prompt to re-install the emulator
- Code:
\vita3k\Vita3K.exe
Rename the file to vita3k and extension from .txt to .menu:
- Code:
vita3k.menu
Put the file in the folder \RetroBat\system\es_menu
EDIT.: Or open a vita game, will prompt to re-install the emulator

If Vita3k or other emulator is delted, Retrobat will ask you to re-download it.

Hi again,
Btw I had a conversation with Jamie asking the following:

Btw I had a conversation with Jamie asking the following:
Is there a way to launch games directly instead of booting into the menu first? In LaunchBox I use the -r parameter and that works, wanted to add it inside the command line parameter in BatGUI of PSVita but it gets removed straight away.
His reply was as follows:
Hey there. Unfortunately their isn't yet. But you could request that in the Retrobat forums for the next update.

Hello,
Vita3k boots into the game directly, not into the menu.
We are sending the -r parameter.

Hi,
if you're watching Jamie's video it boots into the menu.
I have exactly the same than Jamie.

Hello,
That's because you are not adding your games correctly, neither does Jamie, his video is wrong.

Just watched his video, plain wrong, using the ps3 m3u creator is not at all how it must be done.
Just use what is written in our wiki, very simple.

Ok, I just had a look, will do that, still busy with adding Wii U games, so might be a task for tomorrow.tartifless wrote:Just use what is written in our wiki, very simple.
I didn't also do exactly like Jamie but I was pointing my self created m3u files to the eboot.bin but with the same result.
Other question, is it mandatory that everything gets installed into the RetroBat emulators folder, I'm using it on a ROG Ally, RetroBat is on my 1TB SD card but almost full, so I'm installing bigger game files to my 2TB internal drive, like PS2, PS3, XBox (360), 3DS, Wii, Wii U and point the path inside the BatGUI to those folders.
I also would like to be able to install Vita games to that location if possible. Can I point my m3u file to a folder on that drive or does everything need to be under the RetroBat emulators folder?
Thanks.

Re: I deleted Vita3k from RetroBat menu by mistake
For psvita this is not possible, games can only be installed in the ux0 subfolder of the emulator, however you could always try symlinks.
For psvita, vita3k will run the game directly just by putting the title ID in the .m3u file, no folder or path.
In our wiki we have a guide for symlinks that might help you, you could just symlink the ux0 folder...

Re: I deleted Vita3k from RetroBat menu by mistake
Hi,
it's working fine with the symlink, I just added one pointing to my internal c:\ drive:
mklink /D "c:\roms\psvita\app" "d:\retrobat\emulators\vita3k\ux0\app"
I'm using the m3u method with the title ID inside, because I have the games already installed on my PC in LaunchBox thus I just have to copy them over without needing to install again.
And indeed now the games boot straight away, no menu.
Thanks again for the symlink suggestion
