Accidentally deleted emulator
So, ive been stupid again.
Been playing the hell out of wave runner recently. Then the controller stopped working but only on that emulator for some reason.
So I tried to reinstall it but accidentally deleted it.
So it no longer appears in the retrobat menu and and when I try to start a game it gives a message “access to emulator path/d3d9.dll” is denied.
Can I download another version of retrobat and just copy that folder from the emulator over to this install? Or is there a better way? Or do I need to reinstall the whole of retrobat?
And in future if something like this happens what’s the best way to deal with it? I tried opening the emulator but the controller configuration option wouldn’t launch

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
Interesting the folder still seems to be there and still seems to have the emulator fully installed inside it.

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
Before I do just to clarify. I used the option within retrobat to delete the emulator. I thought I would have the option to reinstall through retrobat after doing so but the emulator disappeared from the list.
Should I still do what you say?

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
There is no option to delete emulators.
You just removed the .menu file to allow running the emulator from the retrobat menu.
Do games run ?

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
That’s what I’m trying to say. There’s no option to run them through retrobat.
If you go manually into the emulator and try and launch the game from there you get the error.
I’m thinking I might need to install all of retrobat and drop the ROMS back in to another install but there’s terabytes of them

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
Can you show your retrobat\roms\model2 folder ?
You must not run games from retrobat menu but from model2 gamelist (in Retrobat)

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
Ok this is really weird. I no longer get this error “access to emulator path/d3d9.dll” is denied when trying to run a game.
It’s working again.
But I still have the problem of the controller not working in the emulator.
Before this all started it was working fine and the only thing that changed was I manually installed Yuzu and I can’t imagine that caused issues with M2 emulator.
For the record, I’ve included photos showing the paths and how the emulator is missing from within the retrobat menu.

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
No and no to both. Steam was opened at one point for the first time, but there were no problems after that. The only thing that changed was the Yuzu install.

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
But I’m not. It’s the access that’s denied. But it gave this error, then it didnt, then it did again

Re: Accidentally deleted emulator
I think I’ve solved this. But give me overnight to test it before I confirm the solution.
