White screen on PC Engine CD games on boot, none CD PC Engine games working.

Hello,

When I boot a PC Engine CD game, it boots to a white/grey screen and just hangs there. None CD PC Engine games are booting fine, unsure of the issue with the CD games.

I have all the bio files in /bios and they even have the correct MD5, with RetroBat acknowledging none are missing.

All PC Engine roms are in the /pcengine folder. The none CD games are in a .zip file and the CD games in their own folder containing the .cue and .bin files.

I moved the CD games folder to the /pcenginecd folder and got the same result.

Hi, i just tried 2 pcengine cd games and have no issue.
What game are you trying to run ?
Can you share emulatorlauncher.log file (from retrobat\emulationstation folde)

Found the pc engine part in the log, Air Zonk being the none CD game (which boots) and the 2 cd games Camp California and Addams Family, will send full log if still required.

Update I download a .chd and placed it in the /pcenginecd folder and it booted, which leads me to believe it's an issue with the .bin and .cue files.
I tried the .bin and .cue files as well in /pcenginecd and still getting the white screen.

Why not put them in the roms\pcenginecd ?

That's exactly what I'm going to do right now, deleting the .bin and .cue files and downloading new .chd files for the CD games and placing them and the none CD .zip files in /pcenginecd folder.

I can consider this resolved, still unsure why the .bin and .cue never booted in /pcengine but using .chd for the CD games and placing all PC Engine games in the /pcenginecd folder has resolved the issue.

I assume so, I never changed anything regarding what it boots from. I'm part way through a migration from Launchbox and these files ran fine there.

I'm asking because bin/cue runs fine here

Why downloading again, just convert them into .chd files.

Btw, did you check if your .cue files are correct?

If the .cue points to a different name than the .bin then it's not working.

Example:
