Change boot image for games
hi guys. Any way to change the image that appears when launching a game? Instead of using the rom-image.png, can change to use rom-marquee.png? Thx for the help

Re: Change boot image for games
Hi,
that would be nice as sometimes the images are not very nice or quite pixelated.
I would put 1 loading screen per system, always the same when starting a game.
I have it on my Rpi4 in ES but long time ago I did that, so I cannot really remember where to put the files and where to link it as loading screen.

Hey,
you will find it in your themes folder, go to the folder of the theme you use, there's an theme.xml file.
In my Rpi4 EmulationStation setup I have a background folder under the art folder which contains all the images that launch when you start a game.
And there is also a subsets folder with various xml files.
You will have to edit your theme's main theme.xml file so that when you launch a game of any system it will show that system's image every time you launch a game.
I didn't do this since very long time and I'm also not in the mood now to start fiddling around with it, perhaps some day
