[RESOLVED] 3DO showing two versions of every game

Good morning everyone and thanks for this amazing software.  You guys are awesome.

I have a problem with my 3DO games.

Each game has a .cue and a .bin file but retrobat recognises them twice and I have two versions of every game.

Can anyone advise me how to fix this?

In the options to hide extensions, there’s no option to hide .bin.

Yes, that option is checked in the front end developer option.

I have a lot of bin/cue files and they are not appearing twice.

Can you show us:
- the content of your retrobat\emulationstation\.emulationstation directory
- a picture of the roms\3do folder where we can see all the files for a gama appearing twice ?

Or maybe it's the gamelist.xml which isn't correct?

This is the underlying folder and how retrobat shows it.

Can you make windows display file extensions ?

go into 3d0 system in Retrobat/ES, press select, click view customizations, go towards the bottom look for file types, uncheck .bin

You’ve identified the problem and I feel like an absolute idiot.

I had .cue and .iso files.

I could explain why I had such a ridiculous combination but it would bore you.

What I can’t explain is how I could be such an idiot.

Hi, just create .chd files, only 1 file plus smaller in size

Hey, just my 2 cents. Find the program chdman. It can convert your games to .chd which takes less space and it's a single file for the game. This is the best possible way to store and run roms at the moment as long as the emulator support .chd
