Re: disabling autoconfigure controllers not working
You cannot tell by the log that it is modifying controller configuration, and we dedinitely know that it does not update controller configuration if you have disabled it.

Re: disabling autoconfigure controllers not working
i dont know if its really modifying or not but every time i change the controller mapping on retro arch or other emulator after launching the next game it reset to default.tartifless wrote:You cannot tell by the log that it is modifying controller configuration, and we dedinitely know that it does not update controller configuration if you have disabled it.
i just tried to close and open retroarch.exe after modifying and it was correct nothing changed. but when i run emulator for next time by running a game using retrobat the controller configuration changes.

Re: disabling autoconfigure controllers not working
This means that you did not disable for the system or the game.
Or you are running another system in between.

no, i double checked right now. [another system] nothing but steamtartifless wrote:This means that you did not disable for the system or the game.

i can send screenshot or screen record if it's needed.
one time i changed mapping after i started game using retrobat and then i closed it. after that i opened just retroarch.exe (emulators/retroarch) and checked configure that was ok and nothing changed.tartifless wrote:How do you change in retroarch ?

just when i open a game using retrobat the configuration resets.

Have you check in that way ?

Re: disabling autoconfigure controllers not working
Can you give us a screenshot of which configuration we are talking about in retroarch ?
Because retroarch has controller mapping configuration and core input remap.
When disabling autoconfiguration : original controller setup is not overwritten (the button mapping between your physical controller and retroarch), however, core remap is still configured.

i updated to 6.3.1 and now the system or game option works. but the global doesn't. i mean when the global is of and system and game option are set to auto disabling is not working. i most set system of game option to off for it to work.
i checked es_settings.cfg file
when i disable auto config for a system ex: nes
it add this line of code to file : <string name="nes.disableautocontrollers" value="1" />
and it's work when i run a nes game the auto confige is disable.
but when i go for global setting and i enable auto configuration
it add this line of code to file : <string name="global.disableautocontrollers" value="on" />
and when i disable that removes it. no matter if i disable or enable that global option always just change the configuration in Setting > Input > RetroRad Binds. the only way to avoid this after update 6.3.1 is to set it off for system or game.

it's not about only key mapping its about configuration in this section Setting > Input > RetroRad Binds.

Re: disabling autoconfigure controllers not working
Hello,
Yes it seems the global setting is not writing "1" anymore but another value "on" in the config file, someone changed the behaviour of this setting in emulationstation...
So the workaround is to do it by system.
But anyway, why disable this globally ?

I use PlayStation 2 controller to computer adapter. For this reason, Retrobot ports both players 1 and 2 to one controller, and I have to change the controller of player 2 every time in RetroArch.
i tested all SDL Library but the retrobat can't map controllers correctly. so i need to fix that manually and i don't want to change that every time i run a game that's why i need to disable that globally
in the log that i mentioned previously:

both players are mapping to 1 physical controller

Re: disabling autoconfigure controllers not working
It's a dual adaptater i guess, it's behaviour is strange however, i have dual gamecube, n64 and snes adapters, and they correctly differentiate both controllers...

Re: disabling autoconfigure controllers not working
Just think about doing it in all systems, else if you run another system which has it not disabled it will change again, we'll fix this in a small 6.3.2 quickly
