Retroarch Key Mapping (from in-game quick menu)
Hi,
New to the forum, I discovered Retrobat only recently, through Batocera, and I really like having the ES interface on my Windows machine!
I encountered a small problem and I'm not sure how to solve it:
I am used to remapping the controller buttons in Retroarch, on a per-system basis. For example, I like swapping A/B buttons on SNES, so that the south (down) button on my XBOX One controller is A as far as the SNES9X is concerned.
Usually I could manage this with no issues using Retroarch 1.9 for windows (and in 351ELEC, ArkOS etc.). What I do is start a game, go to the Retroarch menu, select controls from the quick menu and then I can change the button assignments for each port. So I can decide that A is B, X is Y etc. Then I can save this preference by game, core or directory.
The problem I am facing is that through Retrobat, when I try to remap any of the buttons in this method, it simply doesn't work - the menu which usually opens doesn't open at all.
I'm not sure if it's related with the fact that the Retroarch version included in Retrobat is 1.8.9, or if there is some auto config in the background.
I tried to replace the whole content of the Retroarch folder inside Retrobat folder with the content of my Retroarch 1.9, and then it worked as expected, but load times for games became very long.
Appreciate any help, and keep up the good work you're doing!
Thanks

Re: Retroarch Key Mapping (from in-game quick menu)
Hi,
Yes, of course I read the FAQ. Step 13 is what I am trying to do
The problem is that when I select any Port, in the following menu, none of the button remapping options work. I click with the mouse, or hit Enter, or the right button on my controller - there is simply no response, accept for the one for choosing which analog stick will be mapped to digital. Anything below that is not responsive.
Appreciate your help.
