Emulator wont start Empty Emulator wont start

Hi i have set up retrobat and it all works fine at the start , all the roms show up and i am able to scrape etc , however when i try to launch any game on any system it doesnt work , the screen changes as if it is trying to load , it flickers for a second then goes back to the gameslist
i have install on 2 seperate extranal hard drives and neither work
