PS2 Controller Mapping wont save
Hi
Having a weird issue for whatever reason my PS2 controller mapping will not save and defaults to "Enable SDL Input Source" which unchecks Xinput so my 360 controller wont work. Every time I try and play a PS2 game it resets. Meaning I need to close retrobat open PCSX2 turn off SDL enable Xinput and remap my 360 controller.
This doesn't even work sometimes because when I reopen retrobat it resets again.
Before the update to 5.1 I never had an issue with my controller.
Please help

Re: PS2 Controller Mapping wont save
It's because now we have controller autoconfiguration.
You can disable it from Retrobat menu in ps2 games, click select and go to advanced system configuration. From there disable autoconfigurarion.

Re: PS2 Controller Mapping wont save
But why don't you let RetroBat configure your controller ?
Are the controls not OK ?
My Xbox controller gets automatically configured through RetroBat (sdl in pcsx2).

Re: PS2 Controller Mapping wont save
In order to help us, could you manually configure your controller in pcsx2 in the following way:
1) configure in sdl and send us pcsx2.ini file located in emulators\pcsx2\inis
2) configure in xinput and send us pcsx2.ini file
This way we can update/ensure it works also with xbox360 controller

I would but my controller won't do anything while playing a PS2 game. Literally none of the buttons do anything.
Every other system I have tested is fine though. I never had to map the controller for PS2 before the update it just worked.
I will send the files you asked for shortly.

Strange, we have tested with a xbox 360 controllers, and all buttons work fine.
Maybe try to remove your es_input.cfg file in retrobat\emulationstation\.emulationstation folder.
This will ask you to reconfigure the controller in Retrobat.

I think I figured out what the problem was.
I have a racing wheel also that I use for steam games (Like WRC and F1) and PCSX2 was defaulting to the wheel as it was labeled SDL-0. I don't know a way of changing the hierarchy of the input controllers (not sure that's even possible so this is what I did)
I had to change the input to SDL-1 (This is what my Xbox controller is labeled as) in both the con1.ini and the PCSX2.ini. Auto configuration kept resetting the input profile so I disabled it and its been working so far without issue.
Mystery solved it seems.
