Some 5.1.1 Issues
Thank you for your extremely hard work again!! All works fine (I tested a lot) Unfortunately 5.1.1 has some (new) issues:
- No Information for Entex Mess Bios (Name, Path, Hash) provided
- No Information provided where and how Amiga Forever Emulator should be installed
- 3DSen - is still not working as single menu entry, only from Retrobat menu entry
- Philips CD-i - correct Bios (Name, Path, Hash) is provided, Emulator complains, missing files are required (tested with several games)
- 64DD - Emulator closes unexpected (No matter what game/what emulator, tested with several games)
- Sega Saturn - Emulator closes unexpected (No matter what game/what emulator, one Emulator start Saturn's Bios, but nothing more happens, tested with several games)
- Capcom 3 - Emulator closes unexpected (No matter what game/what emulator, tested with several games)
- GBA2P Error: Cartridge not found (tested with several 2-Player games)
- Visual Pinball can be started from Menu entry "Retrobat" but not from the single menu entry "Visial Pinball" (Emulator is missing error, no download option)
- Amiga 500 error: Validating WHDLoad Block -1 out of range (correct Bios, tested with several games)
Can somebody help?

Hello, Thank you for your feedbak
- Entex is not supported on Retrobat where you see Entex folder on \roms folder?
You are talking about advision ?
- AmigaForever is not a free emulator.
is explained on the FAQ: https://retrobat.forumgaming.fr/t135-faq-retrobat-wip#3960
- 3DSen : Same as AmigaForever: https://retrobat.forumgaming.fr/t135-faq-retrobat-wip#3960
- Philips CD-i
No bios are provied with Retrobat.
- 64DD you need to follow the instruction on the Wiki: https://wiki.retrobat.org/systems-and-emulators/supported-game-systems/game-consoles/nintendo-game-consoles/nintendo-64-disk-drive
- Sega Saturn: maybe wrong bios, or wrong iso games. you don't give a lot of information, it's very complicated, even impossible to help you.
- CPS3 : you need the good romset, try other video driver. you don't give a lot of information, it's very complicated, even impossible to help you.
- GBA2P don't support zipped games.
- Visual Pinball : try to download the emulator on the Retrobat system menu.

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
I fixed almost all all errors by myself, but there are still some to go:
- 64dd does not work (full games are not working, they only load the placeholder file)
- Mess/Entex is included - not only a folder, it pops up in main menu (no files modifies, just a clean 5.1.1 install)
- scraping leads to less countedgames (haha, what an error: if several language versions using the same cover etc. they don't count and in carouses view it is not possible to identify what version ist displayed until you start it, because the file name is not shown
- philips cdi won't work in 5.1.1 (100% correct bios (hash compared) and 100 working game files
- the volume of the menu music is broken: if you mute or lower it, start a rom and return, the music is still loud but the value is shown muted or whatever you adjusted
- teknoparrot DOES NOT support 7z anymore!!! it can extract itm but there is no option to start it. normal zip works fine
- the weirdest issue: scummvm is asking for a bios file! game is 100% scumm-fine and I followed the wiki
- the wiki does not describe how dsi games can be started

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
I think that there is too many request on your post to be productive...
For your next request, please create different topic. Or come on Discord
btw
- 64dd works (but you have to have the good bios on the good place, and also be sure to get some correct dumps). Following the wiki works (tested from my side)
- when LL told you that entex doesn't exist, he mean that you have to check Adventure vision
- you can edit rom name directly when scrapping (to be more precise while searching) or you can edit metadatas after, to identify them better.
- philips CDI works (tested myself)
I let you dig for this element for the moment.

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
Hi, let's tackle one by one.
64DD works fine, please ensure:
1) You have the right bioses in \bios\Mupen64plus
2) You have a correct .ndd game dump (for example SimCity) : please note the set from no-intro DOES NOT WORK !
3) You have any .n64 or .z64 rom from the SAME REGION as the .ndd file dump
4) Have the right naming for both files (check the wiki)
Then in RetroBat ==> select the right BIOS region in advanced systems (usually JAPAN).
Run the "dummy" game that was renamed to simcity.
YES it will load the .ndd game AND NOT AT ALL the original game if all conditions are met !
If it loads the original game and not the .ndd: either your ndd game dump is incorrect, either you did not name the 2 files correctly, either your BIOS is not ok.
Please send us screenshots of:
- Your \bios\Mupen64Next folder
- Your \roms\n64dd folder (with extensions not hidden)
- Your RetroBat advanced system settings > emulation settings (where we see the selected BIOS)

Let's discuss the next point: ENTEX !
I don't understand what you mean by this sentence:
- Mess/Entex is included - not only a folder, it pops up in main menu (no files modifies, just a clean 5.1.1 install)

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
For testing purposes I just put an empty zip file into every subfolder in the rom folder... if you do this a main menu entry "entex mess 1987 (with a yellow mess logo)" appears but I cannot find anything about this in the wiki

Can you show a screenshot from the main menu > game collections settings and also a screenshot of what you mean by "entex MESS 1987" system ?

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
Hello,
For scummvm this is normal, you need the following bioses:
bios/scummvm/extra/MT32_CONTROL.ROM
bios/scummvm/extra/MT32_PCM.ROM
You know there is a bios check function inside RetroBat, right ?
Regarding MESS, what game appears in the system when you enter the game view ?

thank you! no real game is inserted. as explained above I put an empty zip file in all subfolders of rom to see which emulator is included or which I do have to manually download

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
there is a standalone bios check? or do you mean the error message above (which is telling, that the bios is missing). I used scummvm on a lot of systems. from xbox 1 to batocera. I was never asked to need a BIOS? wow

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
We have recently added MT32 Soundboard support, which require a specific BIOS file to take advantage of.
==> So we have added this BIOS in the list of BIOS to check
This BIOS is only needed if you are going to MT-32 sound mode.

Usually this means that the game format is not correct.
What game are you trying to run and what does your game folder look like ?

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
Ok, with this setup, libretro core is not working, this is normal.
Standalone emulator should work, what is the version of standalone scummvm located in retrobat\emulators\scummvm ?
(run it and look at the version).

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
Libretro core does not support yet putting the engine, so within the file, you should just set "ft", not "scumm:ft".
Regarding using the standalone emulator (retrobat lets you choose between libretro:scummvm and scummvm), try with the following:
1) Disable shaders and decorations in retrobat
2) in the retrobat\emulators\scummvm folder, delete the opengl.dll file, the reshade.ini file and the reshade folder
3) try again
The fact that you need to put "ft" in the .scummvm file is clearly stated in the wiki:
https://wiki.retrobat.org/systems-and-emulators/supported-game-systems/others/scummvm

Re: Some 5.1.1 Issues
Can you try without the subfolder ?
But anyway you won't be able to play Dragon's Lair on philips CDI, as both libretro cores do not emulate games that require digital cartridge...
Try already to run them directly from RetroArch.
Also, can you show me the bios folder ? You have the bioses in the correct place ?
