Re: [FAQ] Retrobat [WIP]
[35] MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll missing, what to do?
You just have installed retrobat but at launch you get a message telling you *.dll files are missing.
To fix this issue, you should download and install these 2 files :
- visual-c-redistributable-runtimes-all-in-one_Dec_2021.zip (uncompress it into a folder and launch "install_all.bat" )
- dxwebsetup.exe
Then reboot your computer.
Since Retrobat V6, if you do a new installation, the setup will install these prerequisites necessary for the proper use of Retrobat.

[36] What if the Retrobat display appears green?
You just installed Retrobat, start Retrobat.exe, and here comes the drama :
Hopefully, there is a solution that most of the time avoids this problem.
Go to Windows display settings (right click on your desktop) :
And change the scale to 100%

Re: [FAQ] Retrobat [WIP]
[img][V4 & 5]https://2img.net/h/www.retrobat.ovh/img/ico2.png[/img][37] How to add your STEAM games simply in RETROBAT with Batgui?
It is possible to add games from your Steam library to Retrobat, in order to centralize all launchers in the same place.
To do this, you must make your Steam profile public first.
Open your Steam application, and click on your nickname
In the window that opens, click on "edit profile"
Then, go to the "Privacy Settings" menu on the left,
and change your profile to "Public"
Then move to the "General" menu, and check or fill-in the custom url
A relatively long time may be necessary for Steam to activate the public profile
The others steps have to be done from BatGui.exe, available at the root of your Retrobat installation.
Start BatGui.exe,(update it if it asks for it) then go to the "Steam" tab
fill-in your Steam username, then click on the "Load Steam Game" button
(if Steam has not yet activated your public profile, games will not display. You may need to wait up to 30 minutes the 1st time)
Then select from the list of your Steam games the games you want to appear
Check the box if you want to close Steam when closing the game
Finally press the "generate .bat in /roms/windows" button to start the necessary files creation.
NB :
BatGui succeed to find 90% of the executables names used to launch games. But it's not always the case.
If the "exe" column is empty, you must manually enter the name of the executable.
Since Retrobat V6, it's much simpler, follow the wiki: https://wiki.retrobat.org/systems-and-emulators/supported-game-systems/others/windows#adding-a-steam-game

Re: [FAQ] Retrobat [WIP]
[38]Why I get the message "Retrobat is free software[...]" every time Retrobat is started?
When Retrobat starts for the first time, you can observe the following message :
Ce message n'apparaît qu'une seule fois, mais chez certains utilisateurs, ce message apparait à chaque lancement de Retrobat.
This is not normal behavior.
To fix this bug, you have to delete a file.
On your Windows file explorer, type this line:
and validate with "Enter":
The folder C:\Users\**username**\AppData\Roaming\RetroBat should open, containing the file user.key , delete this file, and relaunch Retrobat.
The message should appear again for the last time, and should not appear on subsequent launches.

Re: [FAQ] Retrobat [WIP]
[40][V5 & 6] How-to use MEGA-BEZELS ?
Retrobat V5 integrate Duimon's Mega-Bezels
They are high quality bezels for Retroarch cores, with shaders simulating screen reflection.
As graphical effects requires some graphical ressources, Mega-Bezels can be activated with Vulkan drivers only.

Re: [FAQ] Retrobat [WIP]
[42][V5] Make the message "DOKAN is required and not installed" disappear on emulators start
Some emulators (like CxBx Reloaded), mount games on a virtual support.
But to do so, Retrobat uses external componants, like Dokan
IF Dokan isn't installed, you will see the following message :
To avoid this message, download Dokan
Install it, then start Retrobat again.

Re: [FAQ] Retrobat [WIP]
[43] How to leave a game ?
To leave a game started from RetroBat you have to push the HOTKEY button and press START at the same time.
Some pads are already configured in RetroBat, that is why you might not know which button is used as HOTKEY.
As mentionned in the manual included in RetroBat (see FAQ n°8 ), it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to map the HOTKEY button to the SELECT button of your pad (BACK on a Xbox360 pad).
The exemple above represent the mapping for a Xbox 360 controller.
The button 6, that correspond to the BACK button of the pad, is mapped to SELECT and also HOTKEY.
Indeed, if you use the button GUIDE/SHARE of your box360/ONE pad, or any similar button on another controllers, there is a risk that it doesn't work as expected to leave a game.
You have the possibility, only for systems managed by Retoarch (Libretro), to activate an option that allows you to quit by doing HOTKEY + (START X2)
This option is mainly used for some games that require Select + Start to do a cheat code.
