mayflash wii sensor bar messing with my config
hey yall, have another question for you good people.
I recently added a Mayflash Wii sensor bar to my arcade machine and it is working great with dolphin. Its cool.
Unfortunately i noticed that start and select weren't working in Retroarch games, then i noticed that the actual stick and buttons were not working. I went to the input section where you do the retrobinds and the Mayflash sensor was defined as the controller #1.
Now mind you, Retrobat doesn't even see the wii motes as a controller, meaning you cannot select those as default for player 1, 2,3 , etc.. in Retrobat. The Mayflash controller does show up in the Windows setup USB gamepad area, but not in Retrobat. Thats a good thing.
However when i launch Retroarch via Retrobat the default controller is the Maylash.
I have autoconfigure pads off in retrobat and I force xinput as my controller driver in Game Settings.
If i turn off the bar its no problem retroarch sees the controller correctly but when the bar is on it doesn't.
Any ideas on what I should try to get retroarch to not see the wiimotes? Would it be helpful if I post the log info?

Hello,
If you have autoconfig off i guess retroarch is giving priority to the wiimotes, no clue.

Hey tart
I did launch twice the fist one is with autoconfigure controllers off and the second is with autoconfiguration on. Both run statements look identical to me at quick glance,.

Re: mayflash wii sensor bar messing with my config
yes,. somehow retroarch is setting the mayflash as player 1.,
Anyway, im just going to keep the sensor bar unplugged until i need it. The controller settings are confusing and finicky as hell.

Re: mayflash wii sensor bar messing with my config
I have mayflash and an xbox controller, never had any issue, mayflash is recognized as mouse in retroarch, not as controller.
And Retrobat does set xbox controller to device 1, so no problems.

Re: mayflash wii sensor bar messing with my config
just one of those weird things i guess. ill probably play with it some more, but any changes i make are likely to break other systems so for now i can click it off. thanks for your insight.,

Re: mayflash wii sensor bar messing with my config
@tartifless one last question, when you go into windows 'Setup USB game controllers' do the Mayflash controllers show up there?

Re: mayflash wii sensor bar messing with my config
very interesting, i found that if i use SDL mode rather than X-input the wii motes are not detected and I don't have the issue above. So i guess the solution is SDL. i just have to check the non Retroarch systems to make sure they all work.
