Retrobat freezing on startup, controller disconnect

Hello all, I'm going someone can help. I'm having an issue when retrobat starts up it freezes for 10-20 secs then a pop up says controller disconnected. No controllers are turned on yet. I've had retrobat for a while and this is new. I checked the error log text file and it reads "ERROR System "mess" is missing name, extension, or command!"

You didn't share the log. Make an error log and debug, active error, close retrobat and restart. And share if there is content in the log

Activate Debug, restart retrobat and share the log.

We'll see if something can be seen.
