Super model 3 controller issues
Good morning all.
I wonder if anyone could help
I'm having trouble with supermodel emulator, it asked to update this evening and now the controller does not work, I can use the hotkey to exit super model and the controller (Xbox one s) works on all the other emulators and the rest of retro bat
Many thanks

Hello,
You can disable autoconfiguration and configure manually with the emulator.
Can you send us the supermodel.ini file before doing this and tell us what other controllers are connected (including any remote/controller device) ?

Re: Super model 3 controller issues
You can also try first to reset your controller configuration with BatGui

Re: Super model 3 controller issues
Basically there is an indexation issue that we are fixing in next version.
If you manually map, you might notice that the number of the joystick might be 2 but Retrobat sends 1.
This is because the way emulators index devices connected will be different than the sdl index RetroBat uses, so it's very difficult to ensure we index identically the device number.
So in the end, if you have multiple devices connected, index might currently be wrong

Re: Super model 3 controller issues
I have 5.1.1 installed as well, and have the supermodel controller issue. One thing I have noticed is that Retrobat copies or overwrites the supermodel.ini file located in the supermodel/config folder. I have removed all of the supermodel entries from the configgen folder lists and it still overwrites the supermodel.ini file.
Is this the same issue as the index issue mentioned in this thread? If I do turn controller autoconfig off, then all is good, but then other systems don't work with the controller.

Re: Super model 3 controller issues
The option to disable autoconfig for Model3 is not an option in 5.1.1 for some reason. I have reinstalled it twice now, but the option is not there. The option is available for other systems though.

Re: Super model 3 controller issues
Mine was working perfect this morning so maybe my issue was moving it to new pc and it took time to reconfigure

Re: Super model 3 controller issues
We will add the autoconfiguration disable option for the System.
Also, can you tell us what pad index number is sent by retrobat and what pad index you get when configuring manually in your supermodel.ini file ?

Re: Super model 3 controller issues
The latest 5.2 beta appears to have fixed the issue with the addition of the autoconfiguration controller option.
Thanks!
Thanks!
