Hello, hoping for some guidance on best practices of controller binding (I'm struggling)
Hello all,
I am using a model 1708 xbox series one bluetooth controller. I have bound the buttons based on their direction shown in the mapping configuration.
I am having trouble in game however now.
For instance when in nes, I would suspect to either use west (xbox x) or south (xbox a) to run faster and east (xbox b) to jump but the a and b are reversed. I imagine because the A and B on a SNES controller are opposite of A and B on a XBOX controller.
Do I need to map everything backwards (that sounds like a bad idea to me)?
I have quite a few systems within my retrobat setup. What is the easiest way to fix this while possibly also not causing issues on other systems?
Does this same change need to be made on all of the other early generation nintendo systems also? (gameboy, snes, etc.)
Additionally, just so I know ahead of time, is there anything special I will have to do to get the xbox controller to work properly for ps2 or other systems?
Also, I found a setting in the developer options to change the confirm and cancel but I believe that only affects the emulation station menus and nothing in game so I haven't messed with that setting.
Thank you all for your help!!
